GAZ Group - the leading Russian manufacturer of gas-powered vehicles - presents its GAZON NEXT CNG mobile emergency repair shop running on compressed natural gas. The vehicle is intended for repair and maintenance of gas distribution stations.
Compressed natural gas is the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly type of fuels having most widespread application in commercial transport. Its use provides a 40-50% reduction in operating costs (depending on the mileage and features of a particular model) as compared to gasoline and diesel powered vehicles. The use of natural gas instead of oil derived fuels (gasoline and diesel) provides for 2-3-times lower emissions of toxic substances such as carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, and reduces soot formation inherent to diesel engine combustion to zero.
The emergency repair shop consists of two compartments: cargo and passenger. Thanks to the vehicle general arrangement it allows for free accommodation and delivery of a team consisting of four specialists to an accident site and provides them comfortable conditions for all types of repair and welding works as well as recreation. The vehicle is equipped with a kitchen, a gasoline genset and a welding inverter as well as other gas and electric welding equipment; also there is a niche for storing gas cylinders (oxygen and propane) with special arrangements for their safe loading and unloading; a metal cabinet for drying clothes and shoes; two auxiliary autonomous heaters.
The vehicles come equipped with new generation CNG engines YMZ-534 that have been manufactured at GAZ Group engine plant in Yaroslavl since November 2016. This is the state-of-the-art domestically developed CNG engine designed for trucks, passenger, agricultural and road construction vehicle applications. 150 - 312 HP Euro 5 medium in-line CNG engines YMZ-530 with a potential to Euro-6 upgrade involve top-notch design, control and operation solutions, which results in their high reliability and fuel efficiency.
